Thought I saw one last October, but saw this one on perch quite close up before it took to the air, uniform dark brown in colour whilst sitting then noticed less prononced “V” of tail in flight compared to a red kite, here’s a bad pic.
Also today marsh tits, reduced numbers of fieldfares and starlings, and the usual cranes….no swallows today but very noisy skylarks.
